DISCLAIMER - While this article delves into the debate of whether IITs are overrated or underrated, it's crucial to acknowledge their well-deserved reputation and the immense contributions of their students and alumni. In Defence of Wealth: Filthy money or Filthy mind-set?     While Research may indicate that materialism is negatively related to happiness, it also provides compelling evidence that money is positively correlated with happiness. One may question the ambiguity radiated by the above statistics. But the truth is that, this preconception of money arises due to Social conditioning as well as socioeconomic status that influences perceptions of money and its morality.
